NEW ZEALAND REPRESENTATIVE (Special Australian Correspondent) (Received Jan. 17, 1 p.m.) CANBERRA, Jan. 17 Guests at the new official residence of the N/ / Ztvand High Commissioner in Australia, Mr C. A. Berendsen, are the New Zealand Prime Minister and Mrs Fraser. Negotiations for the purchase of this property were completed only recently and Mr and Mrs Berendsen have been in residence for less than a week. The house is still only partfurnished. For the nine months since he has been in Australia New ! Zealand’s High Commissioner has Hived in hotels. I A trfbute to the work of Mr and ; Mrs Berendsen in furthering New Zealand-Australian co-operation was paid by Mr Fraser in announcing through ti}e Press Association correspondent the New Zealand Government’s acquisition of a suitable residence for the High Commissioner. The house is of single-storey bungalow type, with about two acres of grounds. The New Zealand flag file-; over its lawns. Taihape.
