TONIGHT’S PROGRAMMES REGENT THEATRE “Journey for Margaret” is a tale of bombed London, with an American journalist eventually finding sanctuary for two little war refugees. The supporting programme includes interesting scenes of the landing of New Zealand troops in Italy. “Hit the Ice,” a rollicking comedy featuring Abbott and Costello, will be screened on Friday. STATE THEATRE “Play Girl,” an entertaining mixture of romance and drama, has Kay Francis and James Eiliscn in the chief romantic roles and Nigel Bruce and Mildred Coles prominent in support. “Swing It, Soldier,” is a gay story of radio funsters, with plenty of tuneful music and merry comedy. Ken Murray and Frances Langford head the cast. No fewer than Wn song hits are introduced. CIVIC THEATRE “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” appeals just as much as ever to young and old. The adventures of Snow White and the antics of the delightful dwarfs hold the close interest of an audience. The film is in technicolour and some tuneful songs are introduced. In “Snow White” Walt Disney has carried out one of his greatest achievements. ROXY THEATRE “Bad Men of Arizona” is a thrilling story of the old lawless days on the border, with Richard Dix, Kent Taylor and Edgar Buchanan heading the cast. "Wings and the Woman” tells the life story of Amy Johnson and James Mollison and shows how a great romance was wrecked. Anna Neagle appears as Amy Johnson and Robert Newton as James Mollisor*. THEATRE ROYAL Well-contrasted films make excellent entertainment. “Remember Pearl Harbour,” featuring Donald Barry, Fay McKenzie and Alan Curtis, is a thrilling drama showing that the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbour will be avenged. “Under Your Hat” is the screen version of the London musical comedy hit, with Jack Hulbert and Cecily Courtneidge in the roles in which they were so successful on the stage.
