OBITUARY

MR A. EMMERSON The death has occurred of Mr Alfred Emmerson, of Huntly. Born in Durham, England. 61 years ago, Mr Emmerson came to New Zealand in 1925. and farmed at Huntly. Mrs Emmerson died last April. There are four sons. Mr Hubert Emmerson, of Lancashire. England, Messrs Stanley and Joseph Emmerson, of Auckland, and Mr Kenneth Emmerson, of Huntly. There are eight grandchildren. REV. H. G. HERCUS The death has occurred in Drummoyne. Sydney. New South Wales, of the Rev. Harold Gladstone Hercus. aged 62. The news was received by cable yesterday stating that death had occurred on November 21. Mr Hercus was in charge of the Baptist Church in Hamilton for several years until about 1926. when he to take charge of the Burton Street Tabernacle. Sydney. He was back in Hamilton for a few months three or four years ago and returned to Sydney, where he had resided ever since. * Mr Hercus is survived by his wife and a family of six.
