DISSATISFIED RAILWAYMEN (By Telegraph.—Pres3 Association) CHRISTCHURCH, Tuesdav A well-attended meeting of the Addington branch of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants, held during the lunch interval today, carried a resolution urging the national executive to demand immediately from the Government a definite reply to the representations made for an increase in wages. It was agreed that, failing a satisfactory settlement, a national ballot of membership should be taken to determine the strike issue. The toasting to which they are subjected at the factory makes them safe for even the dyed-in-the-wool smoker And be it noted—these are the only toasted tobaccos manufactured.
