NATIONAL SAVINGS

RECEIPTS WELL BELOW QUOTA Twelve towns in the Hamilton postal district reached or exceeded their quotas for National Savings during last week. The towns were Hamilton, Huntly, Mangapeehi, Matamata, Ngaruawahia, Ohaupo, Raglan, Rotorua, Taupiri, Waharoa, Waimiha and Walton. The receipts for the town area were £846, which was £514 short of the weekly quota of £1360, and receipts for the whole district were £2828, or £2220 short of the quota of £5048. The deficiency for Hamilton was made good by using the surplus from previous weeks.
