BOMBING OF CONVOY

ENEMY PLANES DESTROYED SYDNEY, Nov. 18 Allied bombers continue to concentrate their attacks against enemy shipping moving in South-west Pacific waters. Another Japanese convoy making for Rabaul has been bombed.

The main destruction of Japanese aircraft reported in to-day’s communique occurred in a 30-minute battle over Wewak, north-east New Guinea, when American Thunderbolt high-altitude fighters scored a spectacular victory over a batch of 20 Zeros. Five Zeros were shot down with three others probably destroyed.
