DUKE OF GLOUCESTER CHOICE FOR AUSTRALIA MAY ARRIVE SOON (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) (Received Nov. 9. 11 a.m.) LONDON, Ncv. 8 The Associated Press understands that there are good reasons for expecting the Duke of Gloucester will be npnointed to succeed Lord Gowrie
as Governor-General of Australia and arrangements are being made for his departure to Australia as soon as possible.
Though no authoritative information is available in London about the appointment, the Duchess will presumably accompany him.
The Duke was attached to the British Expeditionary Force almost till the collapse of France and since then has beer engaged largely in assisting the King in his public duties, which have greatly increased since the death of the Duke of Kent.
