PERSONAL
The Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. P. Fraser, who underwent an operation in a Wellington private hospital nine days ago, was reported by the deputy-Prime Minister, the Hon. W. Nash, last night as continuing to progress very well. The Hon. H. G. R. Mason, Minister of Education, was a visitor to Hamilton yesterday.
Mr E. Fleming, of Auckland, is visiting Hamilton. Mr G. Chapman, of Auckland, is visiting Hamilton. Mr Eisdell Moore, of Auckland, is a visitor to Hamilton.
Mr A. J. Old of New Plymouth, is a visitor to Hamilton. Mr A. S. Sutherland, M.P. for Hauraki, was a visitor to the Waikato Show on Saturday. Mr C. A. Beaufort, District Manpower Officer, has returned to Hamilton after attending a conference of manpower officers in Wellington. Mr T. C. Brash, of Wellington, was unanimously elected Moderator-de-signate at the Presbyterian Assembly in Dunedin. Mr Brash is the second layman to receive this honour. Mr K. J. Holyoake. M.P. for Pahiatua, has been nominated by the New Zealand Farmers’ Union as one of two representatives of New Zealand primary producers to go to the Empire primary producers’ conference, to be held in Canada shortly.
