FOOT AMPUTATED
KING COUNTRY BUSHMAN Serious injuries to both legs were received by Mr Joseph Crosby Slater, aged 40, married, timber worker, when he was struck by a log at Messrs Ellis and Bumand’s mill at Pukemako, King Country, on Saturday. His right foot was amputated at the Te Kuiti Hospital and he was moved yesterday to the Waikato Hospital.
