HOUSE AUCTION
KEEN PUBLIC INTEREST Indicative of the current keen interest in house property, a large crowd was present when a house in Grey Street, Hamilton East, was auctioned yesterday afternoon. The sale was made at £1825, the bidding commencing at £1575 and mounting in £25 bids to the purchase price. Com- ] prising three bedrooms, sitting room, i dining room, sun porch and kitchenjette, the house was a modern struc- ! ture in a convenient situation near the Hamilton East Post Office. At a considerable time before the sale was idue to commence a large crowd | thronged the garden inspecting furniture and sundries which were sold 1 after the main sale. ( The auctioneers were Messrs Geo. Boyes and Company, Limited, instructed by the trustees in the estate of the late Mr W. Gardner. The purchaser of the property was Mr T. E. Rodda. until recently manager at the Ruakura Animal Research Station and now acting as technical adviser on vegetable growing in the Fields Division of the Department of Agriculture.
