IN ALLIED HANDS
CORSICA’S FALL REPORTED
(Received Sept. 27, 1 p.m.) LONDON, Sept. 26
The Palermo radio quoted a report that all Corsica is now in Allied hands. Bastia, in Northern Corsica, has been taken, states a dbmmunique from the French headquarters in Algiers.
Bastia is the port from which the Germans were escaping to Italy.
