A MESSAGE TO HAMILTON ELECTORS FROM A RETURNED SOLDIER fl Warrant Officer ALFRED E. ALLEN (2nd N.Z.E.F.) Born in N.Z. Aged 31. Farmer, Stock Buyer, Soldier, Executive Member N.Z.F.U. 1939. Volunteered Sept. 1939. Served with 24th Btn., M.E.F. The people of N.Z. are calling for young men of proven ability and sound knowledge to play their part in the shaping of New Zealand’s destinies. The electors of Hamilton now have the opportunity to show that they are sincere in that call to the younger men. 1 say nothing, personally, against my political opponents contesting the Hamilton seat, but I do say that they are all of an age, where, if they were employed by progressive business concerns they would now be retired or about to be retired in favour of younger and capable men. Allow me the opportunity to fight on for the Peace as l have been prepared to fight in War for the good name and future welfare of New Zealand. Yours in Service, ALFRED E. ALLEN. Ability and vigour combined with Honesty and Courage— Offering his services to his country in War and Peace. ALLEN for a policy of progress for the people
