6,500,000 AT WORK (Received Sept. 22, 1 p.m.) WASHINGTON, Sept. 21 The United States already has over 6,500,000 men and women actively engaged in industry and serving in the armed forces. This was stated by Mr Paul McNutt, chairman of the United States War Man-power Commission. He said this was the greatest number of persons at work in the history of the United States.
