EFFORTS TO STOP WAR LONDON, June 14 The Pope, addressing workers by radio, said: “A social revolution which promises the workers control of the means of production and promises to give all power to the workers is nothing but empty words. IVTany people say the Pope desired war and the Vatican did nothing to prevent it. When human passions have again abated documents so far kept secret will be published to show the Vatican’s efforts to stop this war.”
