Health Lecture The last of a series of lectures was given to a large audience at the State Theatre on Sunday evening by Dr. Ulrip Williams, of Wanganui. He spoke of his mission to teach the principles of cultivating or regaining health by co-operating with nature, and of looking to the mind, or to the manner of life, as common causes of disease. Prior to the address songs were sung by Mrs Jury and Mr Ken Ayo, accompanied by Mrs Grant and Mrs Burnet. Blind Institute Appeal The annual appeal to business and professional men by the New Zealand Institute for the Blind will be conducted in Hamilton during the week commencing June 28. Mr G. W. Mairs, who is himself blind, will conduct the appeal with the assistance of citizens who offer their ser vices. An example of the work of the institute was shown in a letter received by Mr Mairs recently. A young soldier blinded during war service was under the care of the occupational service of the institute for 18 months. When he returned to his previous job in a Carterton freezing works he received a position making cartons at a higher wage than he received before.
