MR JONEB IN ENGLAND LONDON, April 11 The Non. F. Jones, New Zeeland Minister of Defence, called on Sir James Grigg, Secretary of State for War, and discussed official matters. He met the Duke of Devonshire, also Brigadier N. S. Falla, for a discussion on air and shipping. His callers included Mrs Reginald McKenna, sister of Lady Freyberg, whom Mr Jones recently met in Cairo; ales Lieutenant-Colonel Bernard Myers, representative of the New Zealand branch of the Red Cross Bociety and Order of st. John. Lieutenant-Colonel Myers reported on the position regarding parcels for New Zealand prisoners. Mr Jones stated that he was satisfied with the position. RESCUE OF BURVIVORS LONDON, April 11 Eight British survivors and 18 foreigners were landed from the Roxburgh Castle, the California Star and the Thorshov, which wero torpedoed near the Azores, The survivors were afloat for 15 days. The Portuguese ship Sergapinto, which picked up the survivors, carried 135 women and children who were returning to Britain from America and Canada.
