SMALLER CATTL*E YARDING The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Limited, report.—Sheep: At their Morrinsville stock sale yesterday a larger yarding of fat sheep with competition keen and recent values fully maintained. Cattle: A smaller yarding of cattle included a good proportion of beef. Competition was free with values fully up to late rates. Values for boner and store cows remained unchanged. Potter bulls were slightly easier. Store Sheep: A good yarding of store sheep comprising chiefly store lambs and two-tooth ewes from southern districts. Total clearance was effected at satisfactory prices. Pigs: A good yarding of fat pigs comprising many pens of prime baconers. Competition throughout was steady and values were in advance of recent sales. A medium yarding of store pigs were keenly sought after at late rates. Sheep: Heavy fat wethers, 25s to 26s 3d; medium, 23s to 245; lighter, 21s 6d to 22s *sd; fat ewes, 9s 9d; fat lambs. 17s 6d to 245; good 2-tooth ewes, 27s lOd to 295; medium. 26s 3d to 27s 2d; small, 23s to 24s 4d; medium 4-tooth ewes, 26s 9d; good shorn wether lambs, 16s to 17s lOd; medium shorn wether lambs, 15s to 15s 9d; small, 9s to 12s 8d; medium shorn ewe ,ambs, 18s; medium woolly lambs, 14s to 15s 3d. Cattle: Light fat bullocks, £lO 4s to £11; heavy fat Hereford heifers, £9 8s to £9 14s; heavy fat cows, £7 10s to £8 10s; light fat cows and heifers, £5 10s to £7; aeavy boners, £4 10s to £5 ss; medium boners, £3 5s to £4; store cows, £2 to £2 lss; bulls, £5 to £7 17s 6d.
