OFFICERS PROMOTED

In the latest issue of the New Zealand Gazette, dated December 10, a list of appointments and promotions of officers of the New Zealand Military Forces includes Captain R. F. Spragg (Hamilton), of the Permanent Staff, who has been promoted major (temporary), dating from August 26 1942. Honorary Lieutenant A. N. Seamer' officer in charge. Army Records, Hamilton! is promoted to lieutenant (temporary) as from September 26. 1942. A lengthy list of appointments to the New Zealand Artillery includes I. M. Petch (Hamilton), to be second lieutenant, as from August 20, 1942. Appointments in the Territorial Force to the Waikato Regiment include Charles Philip Harington to be second lieutenant (temporary), dating from July 18, 1942 while Second Lieutenant (temporary) F H Clift (Taumarunui), resigns his commission on appointment to the Royal New Zealand Air Force, dating from November 4 1942
