TWO RAIDERS SUNK

Copyright) (Received Dec. 10. 3.15 p.m.) WASHINGTON, Dec. 9 The United States Navy Department announces that a mediumsized United States merchantman battled with two enemy raiders in the South Atlantic last September, and although outgunned probably sank the two raiders before she hersglf was sunk. Only 10 of the merchantmen’s crew of 41 survived.
