ILLEGAL BAIT

TROUT FISHERMEN FINED ROTORUA, Wednesday On charges of fishing for trout with illegal bait in the WaiKato River lour Hamilton men appeared before Mr W. H. Freeman, S.M., in Rotorua. Tiia Conservator of Fish and Game, Mr A. Kean, said uiat Norman Charles Butler had used liuliu for bait, Horton Linsiey Arthur and Frank Vincent Tindlay had used fish roe, and John Percy Goocian had used koura. Each was lined £5 and lus costs. Eduard Byers, of Auckland, for fishing in the Wanua Stream between Midnight and i a.m. on May 8 was fined £2, with 10s costs.
