LOSS AT HAIRINI CHEESE OUTPUT AFFECTED Widespread inconvenience will be caused in the Te Awamutu district as a result of the New Zealand Cooperative Dairy Company’s cheese factory at Hairini being destroyed by fire last night. The factory, which is an old building, held five vats. It was reconditioned last season and two shifts daily were worked. The capacity was between 800 and 1000 tons of cheese a year. The building was insured with Lloyd’s. Provision is being made for the diversion of the mg’lk supply to the company’s butter factory at Te Awamutu.
