Mav 24 Sir Walter Citrine told Mr Roosevelt that the American Federation of Labour had agreed to a form of collaboration with the British an 1 Rus sian unions for the duration of the Sir Walter had proposed that American organised labour should participate in a British. American and Soviet Trades Union Committee. The American Federation of Labour executive council made counterproposals, which had been cabled to London. Sir Walter told the press that the counter-proposals did not go as far as he would like, but they were definitely in favour of a form of collaboration and undoubtedly represented a step in the right direction.
