NOT INDISPENSABLE

SERVICE STATION MANAGER Informing appellant that his business would have to dispense with one of its services, the Hamilton District Manpower Committee yesterday dismissed the appeal of a service station manager, who, it was pointed out, was the sole attendant of the station in question and also supervised by telephone another similar service. While the reservist was qualified mechanically his time was occupied principally in the sale of petrol, and it would mean a serious dislocation of the business if the reservist had to go into camp, it was claimed by appellant. The appellant pointed out that another brotner was acting as manager for three businesses. | “J think it is entirely unreasonable to have three brothers in the business,” remarked a member of the committee. “You will have to cut down one of your services."
