OX BEEF IN KEEN DEMAND (By Telegraph.—Special to Times) AUCKLAND, Wednesday Competition e was always good at the Westfield stock sale today, reports Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., and firm prices were maintained. Small yardings of cows and heirers sold Treely, while ox beef was in keen demand, the prices being better than last week’s. Details: Extra choice ox sold to 3 Bs, choice and prime 35s to 375, secondary and plain 31s to 3 3s, prime young cow and heirer beer 31s to 335, ordinary cow beef 21s to 23s Extra heavy prime steers ranged in price from £l4 17s to £ls ss, heavy prime steers £l3 to £l4, lighter prime steers £ll 10s to £l2 10s, light prime steers £lO 10s to £ll, small and unfinished £8 to £lO, extra heavy prime young cows and heifers £i 0 to £ll 15s, heavy prime £8 to £O, lighter prime £6 10s to £7 10s, other killable cows £4jo_£s_los.
