PORT MORESBY BOMBED ' Official Wireless) (Received March 25, 3.15 p.m.) RUGBY, March 24 A Port Moresby message, describing the daylight raid there on Tuesday, says 18 Japanese bombers and three fighters came over and about 20 tons of bombs were dropped on military targets. The accuracy of the anti-aircraft fire broke up the formation as it was preparing for runs over the targets after the raid. One bomber peeled off from the formation and flew slowly towards the base with smoke streaming from it. The fighters made no attempts at a low-level attack this time.
