NEW ZEALANDER’S BRAVERY (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. copyright) (Received March 25, 11 a.m.) LONDON, March 24 A member of the Royal New Zealand Air Force, Sergeant J. Irvine, has been awarded the British Empire Medal. His plane crashed on an aerodrome and burst into flames. Sergeant Irvine was catapulted through the roof but returned and saved the unconscious pilot.
