GERMAN PREPARATIONS

6,000,000 MORE MEN BIG SPRING OFFENSIVE (United Press Assn.—Elec. Te.. copyrignt) (Received March 25, 11.40 a.m.) LONDON, March 24 “The war will be won or lost for Germany in the next four months,” says the Yorkshire Post. The paper publishes a comprehensive survey of Germany’s intensified war preparations. “Germany cannot stand another winter of this war,” it says. “This is the opinion of the German army as a whole, of neutral observers in Germany, and of influential sections of the Nazi Party. “Hitler is, therefore, making frantic efforts to have an army so big as to be invincible in the spring fighting. During the winter 2,000,000 State employees have been combed out for the fighting forces. The civil population has also been combed and combed again until it is estimated that another 4,000,000 have been obtained. These 6,000,000 will be added to the German army by the time the spring offensive starts.”
