PERSONAL

The Governor-General, Sir Cyril Newall, and Lady Newall will be present at the concert to be given by the Royal New Zealand Air Force Band at Auckland on Saturday night. His Excellency left Auckland for Wellington yesterday and will return north tomorrow.

Flight-Lieutenant Gladstone Hill, Director of Music, Royal New Zealand Air Force, is in Hamilton in charge of the Air Force Band, and is at the Hamilton Hotel. Messrs L. C. Robinson, T. H. King (Wellington), J. Machin (Waimiha), E. J. Johannessen, F. Baker, A. S. Austin and C. R. McLean (Auckland) are at the Commercial Hotel. Messrs F. C. Montgomery, K. L. Waters (Wellington), G. Gibson (New Plymouth), P. D. Hill (Dargaville), H. B. Valpey (National Park), I. J. Smith (Whangarei), I. Maxwell (Devonport), I. Matthews, K. Hume, R. Oates, B. Corban (Auckland), J. Curwen (Tauranga) and V. Simms (Otorohanga) are at the Hamilton Hotel.
