PARCEL WRAPPINGS

RESTRICTIONS IMPOSED WHOLESALE AND RETAIL A Gazette notice dated March 18 imposes restrictions on the use of paper and cardboard wrappings by wholesalers and retailers. In packing or wrapping any article in the course of manufacture or for wholesale distribution no more paper or cardboard shall be used than is reasonably necessary for protection or carriage. Retailers are forbidden to use paper or cardboard for packing or wrapping any article that in the course of manufacture or for wholesale distribution has been packed in a manner reasonably necessary for its protection. A special clause permits the wrapping of articles together when they are intended for delivery by post or otherwise despatched to the customer.
