CONVERSION OF BICYCLE PALMERSTON N„ Monday Saying he was letting the offender ofl‘ lightly, Mr H. P. Lawry, S.M., sentenced a territorial soldier in the Magistrate's Court to a week’s hard labour for converting a cycle to his own use. The magistrate said that if conversion did not stop the sentence would be increased. The police stated that since December 20 no fewer than 303 cycles had been reported locally as having been taken.
