OBITUARY
MR G A. RAYSON The death has occurred at Frankton of Mr George Alfred Rayson, an old and esteemed resident of the Waikato. Born at Avondale 75 years ago, Mr Rayson went to the Thames as a boy, and came to Hamilton in 1885, when he took up blacksmithing with the late Mr George Pearson, Hamilton East. He joined the New Zealand Railways in 1887, being stationed successively in the King Country, at Auckland and at Frankton Junction. He went to Wellington in 1907, later being appointed inspector of the permanent way at Greymouth. He remained there until 1915 when he was transferred to Te Kuiti and then to Frankton Junction. He retired from the service in 1927 but continued to reside in Frankton until his death. He was a member of the Masonic Order and the Waikato Racing Club. Mrs Rayson died 12 years ago, and Mr Rayson is survived by two daughters, Mrs R. A. Kiddey (Auckland), and Mrs C. Oxenham (Frankton), and two sons, Mr Walter Rayson (Horotiu), and Mr Cyril Rayson (Frankton). MR E. H. JULL The death has occurred in Tauranga of Mr Edward liarrisson Jull, aged 75. Born in Kent, England, the late Mr Jull came to New Zealand with his parents in 1886 and settled with them at Manurewa, later engaging in business and becoming well known in the Aucklant. and the Waikato districts. In 1911 Mr Jull bought land at Te Rapa which he farmed until six years ago, when he retired to Tauranga. He is survived by his wife, three sons and four daughters. There are eight grandchildren.
