GAY GARDENS
AUTUMN The roses and lilies are fading, But in their place I see Autumn’s golden blossoms Storing honey for the bee. Where pansies once had flourished In brown and red and gold There bloomed the aster people In colours rich and bold. The zinnias of scarlet Are dancing on the breeze And tiny scraps of sunshine Are tinting the poplar trees.
