“LACK OF DIRECTION”
MR WILLKIE’S COMPLAINT (United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright) WASHINGTON, Feb. 12 Mr Wendell Willkie asserted that there was a lack of mutual confidence and central direction among the American fighting forces, and he demanded that General MacArthur, at present in command in the Philippines, be brought from the Philippines and placed ir? supreme command under President Roosevelt. Then the people would have reason to hope that skill, not bungling and confusion, would direct theii efforts.
