In the above picture are two rubber dinghies which are used by airmen when they are forced down at sea. One of those in this picture belongs to a Hudson aircraft of the Coastal Command while the other is from the Short Sunderland in the background. The Sunderland came to the rescue of the other craft but on landing in the rough sea damaged one engine and one of the floats was carried away.
