Men as Baby-minders Some junior public servants, including men, are eking out their pay by acting as baby-minders, says a Canberra message. The regular charge is 2s 6d a night. There are not enough baby-minders for the city, which has the highest birthrate in the Commonwealth. Between 50 and 80 new babies arrive every month.
