NEW SUBSTATION
UNDERGROUND CABLES ANOTHER BUS SHELTER The provision of the underground cable system for carrying electric power throughout the business area of Hamilton is being carried a further stage by the erection of a small electrical sub-station in Anglesea Street. The building is being erected i close to the comer of Knox Street, and an interesting feature will be the provision of a bus shelter. The new building is on the bus route to the Waikato Hospital. The roof will be extended to make verandahs, under which seats will be provided for those waiting for buses. With the completion of the new sub-station the transformers on the corners of Anglesea and Hood and Collingwood Streets, which' are on overhead poles, will be taken down. The transformers on poles outside the i Waikato Winter Show buildings will i also be taken down when a new cabj inet that is being erected in the show buildings is completed. All this work jis part of the scheme to provide I underground electric cables for the Garden Place area.
