DISPUTE SETTLED

WESTFIELD BOXMAKERS SLIGHT INCREASE IN PAY (By Telegraph.—Press Association) AUCKLAND, Friday A dispute in the boxmaking department and timber yard of the Westfield Freezing Company caused a stoppage of work by 30 men yesterday, but the trouble has been settled and the men resumed work this afternoon. It is understood that as a result of negotiations between representatives of the management and the secretary of the Timber Workers’ Union the 30 men concerned have been granted a slight increase in pay. The men ceased work at 10 a.m. yesterday and presented a demand of an extra 3d an dour.
