RANGIRIRi CATTLE FAIR The New Zealand Loan and .Mercantile Agency Company Ltd., report on their annual spring cattle lair held at liangirirl on Thursday as follows: Fully the advertised number nr station-bred cattle came forward, over lluo being yarded. Included in tlie entry were some well-grown Hereford and I'.A. steers, but the majority of the cattle comprised 2 and 3 year steers and also a good number of yearling P.A. steers. There, was a large and representative attendance of buyers from all parts of the Waikato and Auckland Province. Competition throughout was very keen on well-grown cattle, but smaller sorts did not meet with the same demand. However, most of the cattle sold under the hammer, a good clearance being effected at fully up to recent Waikato values. Prices were as rollows: Prime fat Hereford heirers £8 to £9 ss, forward conditioned Hereford heifers £7 5s to £7 17s Gd, 3 and 4 year S.H. steers £lO to £lO 7s Gd, 3 and 4-year P.A. steers £9 15s to £lO 9s, good 3-year P.A. steers £9 10s to £9 17s Gd, 3-year Hereford steers (good) £S 15s to £9 1 2s Gd. medium 3-year Hereford and P.A. steers £S 5s to £8 12s Gd, mixed coloured 3-year steers £S 7s Gd to £8 15s, well-grown 2-year Hereford and P.A. steers £8 to £8 12s 6d, small sorts £7 10s to £7 19s, well-grown yearling P.A. steers £5 5s to £5 15s, medium yearling P.A. steers £5 10s to £5 2 5 Gd. yearling Hereford steers £4 5s to £ i ITS Gd, yearling P.A. and Hereford heifers £3 15s to £4 12s fid, Hereford cows, in cair. £5 15s to £fi ss; empty Hereford and P.A. cows £5 5s to £fi 10s, empty 2-.vear Jersey Heifers £5 iWs to £5 ss. me,Hum yearling Jersey heirers £4 to £4 12s fid. cows and calves £5 to £5 10s. springing dalrv heirers £s to £9. service hulls £fi to £9 ss, boner cows £2 to £3 in«.
