Mr C. A. Barrell, M.P. for Hamilton, arrived from Wellington on the Limited express this morning. Lieutenant-General Sir Guy Williams, military advised to the New Zealand Government, was in Hamilton yesterday on his way to National Park.
Mr F. C. Johnstone, of Waitetuna, a member of the electoral committee of the New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board, returned this morning from Wellington, where he attended a meeting of the board. The Rev. M. G. Sullivan, vicar of Te Awamutu, who has been on duty as chaplain at the Rotorua territorial camp, is to report for duty at the Waiouru camp on October 17. The Rev. H. B. Burnett, of Otautau, has also been appointed to Waiouru. Messrs L. V. Fisher, W. Burrell (Auckland), J. W. Ammonds (Ohope) and A. K. Crosbie ((Thames) are at the Hamilton Hotel. Messrs E. Harris, H. Raymond, T. J. O’Flaherty (Whakatane), J. W. Oswell (Napier), A. F. Higgs (Taneatua), D. Matthews, B. Porter (Auckland), V. T. Feil (Taupo) and j. Baitels (Wellington) are at the Commercial Hotel.
