On the second day lie was third on Trig Station, second on volifox. third on Betterman, fourth on Chary and second on. Royal Pilot. Cona’-stent Maxown Maxown gave another consistent performance at Te Aroha on Monday when he ran third to General Ruse and King Rey in a blanket finish. Maxown Jumps and stays well and lie will disappoint ir he rails to further his account in the weeks ahead. Was Finishing On Very Glad was finishing on to beat all but the placed division in the hurdle event on the latter day at Te Aroha and as he should be all the better for the race he may soon be seen in winning vein. His opportunity may come at Paeroa over the week-end. General Ruse General Ruse, under the capable horsemanship of J. H. Mcßae, gave an improved performance on Monday to win the Second Hurdles Handicap in a torrid finish with King Rey and Maxown. One or the leaders throughout he was taken to the front, naira'mile rrom home and in the straight stayed on solidly under pressure to gain a narrow decision.

Marble Fox Marble Fox went an encouraging race on the first day at Te Aroha and. Improved as he is sure to be with racing there, he will bear watching in engagements immediately ahead. Turning for home he swung wide and weakened in the telling stages. Gay Rosette Gay Rosette is set down to make a reappearance at the Paeroa meeting, but she will probably need a race or two before she Is seen to advantage. Empire Rose
Empire Rose, beneflied by racing at Avondale, finished attractively to win the Taruheru Hack at Te Aroha on Monday and now that she has struck winning form again she will bear keeping In mind for racing immediately ahead. She has been nominated for the approaching Paeroa meeting, being assessed at 8.7 the first day. Court Favourite Following her success on the latter day at Te Arolia, Court Favourite is now out or hack class, her winning stake money amounting to £SBO. Well Represented Te Rapa stables are freely represented in the fields for the Paeroa meeting, those nominated on the first day comprising Acquest. Bramble Song. Royal Melody, Bamboo. Main.
