WANDERERB V. ROVERS HOWDEN CUP GAME DRAWN The first round of the Howden Cup knock-out association roothall competition at rieddon Park on S-aturday resulted in a draw of one goal each after extra time had been played, and the game win have to be replayed next Saturday. Play fluctuated throughout with the defenders nullifying attempts to score. Both goals wore recorded during t!he extra time, the scorers being Innes for Wanderers and Higginson lor Rovers. Good goalkeeping by Llvey (Wanderers) and Davies t’Rovers) was mainly responsible for the low scoring. Mr N. swinburn was referee. Wanderers Intermediates v. North Shore This game was played as a curtainraiser and a very good standard of play was shown. The result of one goal each was a fair Indication of the play. st. Clair scored for Wanderers and Rykers for the visitors. Mr N. Wheeler was referee.
