ELECTION CONTESTS

COMMUNIST CANDIDATES (By Telegraph.— Press Association) WELLINGTON, Saturday The Communist Party has announced its intention of contesting three scats in tne Wellington urban area which are held by Cabinet Ministers. Candidates have already been selected for Wellington Central 'held by the Rt. Hon. P. Fra«er> and Wellington East (the Hon. n. Semple). The two candidates will be Mr A. Galbraith, Wellington Central, and Mr A. J. Rlrchfleld, Wellington East. The third seat to be contested is Hutt. held by the Hon. W. Nash. The Palmerston seat, held by Mr J. Ilodgens (Government!, will be contested by Mr F. Manning.
