Soldiers for Camp A draft of men from Hamilton and neighbourhood for the mobilisation camps is to parade at the Drill Hall, Knox Street, on Monday morning. Most of the men will proceed to Papakura, and others to Trentham, to train for service overseas. 25 Wet Fridays Wanganui is experiencing the unique meteorological phenomenon of a long run of wet Fridays, although neither the winter nor spring has been unduly rainy, generally speaking. Yesterday was the 25th successive Friday on which Wanganui has had rain. The sequence is believed to be unparalleled in the history of Wanganui, and. perhaps, anywhere else in New Zealand. Duigan had donated £IOOO to the New Zealand Expeditionary Force troops in the Middle East.
