BELIEVED DROWNED
ELDERLY MAN MISSING (By Telegraph.—Press Association) WHANGAREI, Thursday Believed drowned in the Bay of Islands, Mr Robert F. Munro, a retired blacksmith and a justice of the peace, aged 70, is missing from his bach at Paihia. On Tuesday morning an upturned dinghy containing an overcoat, in the pockets of which were papers bearing the name Munro, was discovered, but this was not reported to the police until yesterday morning. The police then discovered that Mr Munro was missing.
It is understood Mr Munro is a brother of Mr J. W. Munro, Labour M.P. for Dunedin North.
