UNIVERSITY SENATE
TRIENNIAL ELECTION The triennial election of five members of the University of New Zealand Senate by members of the General Court of Convocation will take place on October 1. The General Court of Convocation comprises all graduates of the university. Sixteen nominations have been received, or twice the total for 1938. Three women are included. The nominees are:—Mr Gilbert E. Archey (Auckland), Mr W. A. Armour (Wellington), Mrs G. H. Benson (Dunedin), Mr F. H. Cambell (Dunedin), Mr F,. A. de la Mare (Hamilton), Mr A. E. Flower (Christchurch), Mr N. M. P. Gibson (Auckland), Mr E. N. Hogben (Dannevirke), Dr. C. O. Hutton (Wellington), Dr. P. P. Lynch (Wellington), Dr. E. N. Merrington (Wellington), Dr. W. Newlands (Dunedin), Miss E. M. North (Lower Hutt), Mr E. J. Parr (Wellington), Mrs D. F. Turner (Auckland) and Professor G. W. von Zedlitz (Wellington). The sitting members are Mrs Benson, Professor von Zedlitz, Dr. Newlands, Messrs de la Mare and Flower. Voting is by postal ballot.
