S-M.. in the Cambridge Court. A charge •gainst ho employer was dismissed. Counsel for Lang’s employer said he genuinely believed for some time that his employee had registered- laing had told him he had enrolled and had also enlisted for Territorial training. Lang was given time off for training and he later appeared in uniform. Lang had shown him official papers indicating that he was unfit for service and asking him to return hia uniform, said the employer. These papers were produced in court. I-a ter. to make sure that Lang was registered, the employer consulted his solicitor, who advised him to fill in another form for his employee. This had been sent away in May and the prosecution resulted. On behalf of Lang counsel said that defendant had gone to camp and had been turned out as unfit. He had not wilfully evaded his responsibility. The nominal fine was imposed.
