Copyright) (Received Aug. 30, 11.30 a.m.) LONDON, August 29 In an effort to offset the historic meeting between Mr Roosevelt, President of the United States, and Mr Winston Churchill, Prime Minister of Great Britain, the German radio is making much of a meeting between Hitler and Mussolini on the Eastern front. The first announcement of the meeting came from Hitler’s headquarters, which stated that discussions took place from August 25 to August 29. It is apparent that the meeting was made the occasion for a full-dress propaganda campaign and the two dictators toured up and down the front, Hitler being accompanied by von Ribbentrop, the German Foreign Minister, and FieldMarshal Keitel, Chief of the German Staff, Mussolini also being accompanied by high army officials. • BERLIN, August 29 All military and political developments for the duraiton of the war were discussed when Hitler and Mussolini met on the Eastern front recently. The talks were permeated by the unalterable will of the Italians and Germans and their leaders to continue the war to victory.
The new European order resulting from this victory will remove the causes of European wars, and the destruction of the Bolshevik danger and plutocratic exploitation will create the possibility of peaceful, harmonious and fruitful collaboration between the peoples of Europe, politically, economically and industrially.
