REDUCTION IN COSTS THAMES VALLEY DAIRYING A substantial increase in output and a reduction in costs are indicated in the annual report of the Te ArohaThames Valley Co-operative Dairy Company, Ltd. The total butter made by the company during the season amounted to over 3150 tons. Factory costs have been reduced from 1.909 to 1.878 d a lb butterfat. The average payment made to suppliers during the season, including the June bonus, amounts to 14.966 d. This, together with the amount in the appropriation account of 1.399 d give§ an average pay-out of 16.365 d a lb butterfat, or, with cream cartage added, 16.715 d a lb butterfat. It has been decided to make a final payment of 1.3 d a lb butter fat on August 20, together with a dividend ol 6 per cent on share capital.
