NO FURTHER CASES

MENINGITIS AT CAMP Inquiry at the Waikato Hospital today showed that no further cases of meningitis have been reported from the Hopu Hopu mobilisation camp, and that the man admitted to hospital last week suffering from meningitis was showing a slight improvement in condition, though he was still seriously ill. Measles and mumps were still causing the camp and health authorities a good deal of concern, and this morning a further batch of soldiers suffering from one or other of the ailments arrived at the temporary hospital in the new Hamilton West School building for treatment.
