i WOMEN'S GOLF TOURNAMENT I RESULTS AT ROTORUA The Rotorua ladies’ open golf championship was advanced a further stage yesterday and the llrst two rounds have been completed. The following players remain in the championship.—. Misses M. Kellick (Wanganui), K. O’Sullivan (Ilawera;; Mesdaines R. C. Cook (Wanganui), and E. L. barker (Rotorua). In the first round Mrs P. R. Glanville (To Awaimutu) was opposed by the titleholder, Miss M. lMston (Palmerston North) and aifter a match which went to the 23rd hole the Waikato player was eliminated. Apparently feeling the eirects of her strenuous morning match, Miss lllston was beaten 3 and 2 in the second round by Miss k. O'Sullivan (Hawera). Mrs <L. Day (Hamilton) was eliminated in the llrst round of tiie Arikikapakapa Cup by Mrs S. Foreman (Miramar). In returning a score of 7.3, Mrs >R. C. Cook was responsible for the host round of the day, this score equalling the record of Mrs E. L. barker.
